Pivot table course. Every aspect of the course worked well. The course
content was well structured and clearly delivered, materials were clear &
easy to follow & all examples were made available on electronic media.
Fen’s style and good humoured delivery help to ensure that the content is
communicated effectively. My work involves manipulating large volumes of topic data
(e.g. for deprivation, crime, health etc.) which are made available via the
Scottish Neighbourhood Statistics website in comma separated format. The data
relate to all 6501 ‘datazones’ in I was aware that Fen also delivered training in Visual Basic
for Excel & offers consultancy and development services. I therefore
asked Fen to look at ways to automate the work I was undertaking manually in
cutting and pasting & labelling data selections. Fen was able to
understand and even demonstrate how this could be achieved immediately. He
delivered the first part of the automated solution (extracted and labelling
