TARGET SETTING USING MICROSOFT® EXCEL® (KS2 – KS3) (1-DAY COURSE)

Overview

Aimed directly at those staff who need to utilise Excel to perform the task of setting English and Maths KS3 targets for pupils, this course introduces some novel concepts to assist with this.

Using built-in functions and formulae, the course will show the delegate how to quickly and efficiently identify and obtain:

·         The grade needed for a pupil to achieve TWO LEVELS OF PROGRESS from KS2 to KS3

·         The percentage chance of achieving each level at KS3 (using TRANSITION MATRICES)

·         The percentage chance of achieving two levels of progress

·         The percentage chance of achieving level 5+

·         The percentage chance of achieving level 6+

·         Indicative percentages for the cohort gaining 2 levels of progress, level 5+, level 6+

Delegates need to be familiar with Excel and creating basic formulae.

The course is very hands on and interactive. The atmosphere during the course is relaxed and friendly.
